In fact there is real value in this approach. The beauty of this approach is that it allows you to focus on product issues while the site focuses on traffic issues. But if you have the time and talent to focus on traffic strategies you can do much better.
Average Behavior Average Sales
Im guessing youre reading this book because youre either not selling all the product you have in your inventory, or youre not making all the money youve dreamed of. That old proverb holds true:
If you want what average people have, do what average people do.
Average sellers on Amazon, Etsy, and eBay let those sites take care of the traffic. So its no surprise those sellers end up with average results.
Taking Responsibility For The Visitors
For all these reasons and a lot more, at Liberty Jane Clothing we approach the issue very differently. We take ownership and responsibility for the amount of visitors looking at our sales pages and work to actively manage them. Our mindset, applied to the Amazon marketplace, looks like this:

Notice in our diagram that we are responsible for the sales page content.
But we also take responsibility for the traffic funnel, "or stack". Although Amazon might deliver the first set of visitors via their "organic traffic", there are more visitors to be cultivated. That is part of our job.
